Meet the staff...

Mick Kearns - Community Programme Manager

Before becoming Head of the Community Programme in 1989, Mick had a playing career as a Goalkeeper with Oxford United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Walsall.  Mick made 275 appearances for Walsall FC during his two spells at the club.  During his playing career Mick also represented the Republic of Ireland 18 times.  His international debut was made against Poland in 1970.  As well as being Community Manager, Mick has also worked as the 1st team Goalkeeper Coach and can regularly be heard sumarising Walsall FC games on BBC Radio WM.

Trainee Officers

Walsall FC Community Programme runs a successful Modern Apprenticeship scheme.  All trainees will be assigned to work with an Assistant Community Officer. All of our Trainee Officers have their Enhanced CRB Checks and, during their training period, they will work towards passing their FA Level 2 coaching badge. Current Trainee Community Officers are:
